Many hobbies get you in physical shape and still others can work your mind and develop abstract thinking which will help in every facet of your life. I’m learning that there are other reasons to avoid fructose. It is hypothesized that it’s a very “lipogenic” sugar, meaning that it easily creates fat. Furthermore, evidence supports the idea that fructose raises LDL levels. So you may want to avoid it if you have high cholesterol. (Fruits are very high in fructose. It’s ironic, isn’t it, that eating fruits can raise your cholesterol? Personally, my advice would be to eat fruits, but avoid high fructose corn syrup. That means cutting out non-diet sodas!) If you’re a diabetic, this all may be rather surprising, since historically diabetics have been counseled that fructose is superior to other sugars given its low glycemic index. However, that reasoning is being rethought given the potential of its deleterious effects.sub topic
